The Mystery of our Resident Ghost
The Griffin Inn was converted to a public house in the early nineteenth century, and has over the years acquired a reputation for being haunted.
There have been multiple sightings of ghosts at The Griffin; including an old man sitting by the fire, and a lady dressed in white, carrying a bunch of keys. These have been witnessed multiple times.
The lady has been christened ‘The Governess’, and is said to have been spotted multiple times haunting the rooms of unsuspecting guests. She has also been heard in the cellar going about her duties!
